The rate at which Satan’s henchmen are taking their jackhammers of sacrilege to Mother Church is shocking in its blatancy but becoming boring in its frequency.
On 25 August at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Saltillo, Mexico, the sacred liturgy was gravely violated before the eyes of the faithful. Bishop Emeritus Raúl Vera, O.P., openly permitted an Anglican “priestess” to intrude upon the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
[Can we even continue calling these people “bishops” and “priests”? – ed]
The woman, Emilie Smith of the Anglican “Church” of Canada, ascended the altar vested in a stole, pronounced words from the Eucharistic Prayer, and even dared to raise the Chalice containing the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. In doing so, she usurped the role of the Catholic priest—an act reserved only to those configured to Christ through the indelible character of Holy Orders.
This was no accident, no slip of protocol. Bishop Vera himself introduced her, praised her, and even broadcast the event on his Facebook page. His justification? That the Anglican minister had “reflections” to offer about the Gospel and about “solutions to the climate crisis.” [Of course. No scandal is complete without some climate crisis element – ed] Thus, the altar of God was reduced to a stage for worldly ideologies, and the Most Holy Eucharist became the backdrop for political activism. Again.
The Catholic Church, however, has spoken with unmistakable clarity on such matters. Canon 907 of the Code of Canon Law forbids the laity from pronouncing the Eucharistic Prayer or performing priestly functions. Canon 1367 declares sacrilege against the Sacred Species to be among the gravest of crimes. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal (nn. 147–180) makes clear that only the priest may pray the Eucharistic Prayer and elevate the Sacred Species. No bishop emeritus, no false ecumenism, no climate rhetoric can erase these divine and ecclesiastical laws.
This is, of course, something that is happening more and more often. A few weeks ago, at the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto in Italy, during the Jubilee of Youth, a woman clothed in priestly-like garments appeared on the altar alongside Catholic concelebrating bishops. Video footage of the July 28 Mass shows the woman processing to the sanctuary with the ordained clergy, raising her hands in imitation of the priestly gestures at the altar—an action that may well have included participation in the consecration itself.
While she was not vested in proper liturgical garments, witnesses report that she extended her hands during the Eucharistic Prayer, a gesture reserved solely for the ordained priest. The implications are undeniable. This was an attempted intrusion into the sacred roles of the priesthood, a daring mimicry of the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
What happened in both these instances is not ecumenism. It is apostasy in action. It is a deliberate profanation of the liturgy and a public insult to Christ Himself, present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—upon the altar.
Such actions strike at the heart of Catholic identity. If anyone may recite the words of consecration, if anyone may raise the Chalice, then the priesthood is meaningless, the Sacrifice of the Mass is mocked, and the Catholic Faith is reduced to a spectacle. This is precisely what modernist “ecumenism” has accomplished for sixty years. The blurring of truth and error, the erasure of boundaries, and the degradation of what is most sacred in the Church.
The faithful must ask, where is Rome? Why is the Pope not taking action? How long will such scandals be tolerated while the sheep are scattered and the Eucharist profaned? If bishops may desecrate the Mass with impunity, what credibility does the hierarchy retain? It is long past time for real discipline, for canonical penalties, and for Rome to defend the honor of Christ and the integrity of the Sacraments.
These scandals are, as we know, not isolated incidents. They are the natural fruit of the post-conciliar experiment in false ecumenism, which has exalted man and his causes above God and His truth. We were warned by Popes of old. Pius XI condemned such intermingling of religions in Mortalium Animos. St. Pius X warned of modernism’s destruction of the Faith. Yet here we are—bishops permitting heretics to handle the Sacred Chalice and daring to call it “dialogue.”
Let the faithful take heart. God is not mocked. Though the shepherds betray, Christ the Eternal High Priest remains.
And He is a Consuming Fire.
Christus vincit!
Christus regnat!
Christus imperat!

Where is Rome? Where are WE! In defense of the Eucharist was not one voice raised in objection among the faithful? At least at that point or when she was recognized for the intruder she is, the faithful as one body should have RISEN and turned their backs to her on the altar!
Of course Prevost will do nothing.
