No clergy anywhere can show any decree or document from the Roman Catholic Church before the abominations of V-II were forced on the world to substantiate any such heresy. In contrast, the Bible is clear that homosexuality is an "abomination" and "filthy", plus the Bible describes how Sodom and Gomorrah were both wiped of the face of the earth for their sins.
Thus, clergy who make public or private statements like the one in the article are heretics for which God will hold them accountable.
