I can already see my subscriber count dropping, but until people wake up, I will not shut up about this. So, before you hit that unsubscribe button, at least hear me out until the end.
Also, before I continue, I get it. Good, normal Catholic folks are in desperate need of good news—any good news. To the point where their desperation might be clouding their judgment.
I am less forgiving, though, when it comes to the pseudo-trads and conservative influencers who have also latched on to the story I am about to relate, and who already lavished great praise on the bishop involved, as if this is a taste of great things to come.
It has been widely reported and praised that Bishop Evelio Menjívar of Wheeling-Charleston has expanded access to the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) in West Virginia and appointed a diocesan delegate to oversee celebrations according to the 1962 Roman Missal.
According to the notice, dated August 28, the coming changes establish a more formal diocesan structure for the usus antiquior (another term used to paint the Traditional Latin Mass as something out of date) and, notably, increase the frequency of the traditional Mass in the Wheeling area from once a month to every Sunday.
It is reported that Menjívar appointed Very Rev. Timothy J. Grassi, V.F., pastor of St. James Parish in Charles Town, as the Episcopal Delegate for Matters Concerning the Usus Antiquior, effective August 24.
The diocesan announcement said the appointment was made “in an effort to foster greater unity among the Catholic faithful and provide for their various spiritual needs.”
How dear.
As episcopal delegate, Father Grassi will be charged with assisting the bishop in implementing Church law governing the traditional rite and coordinating “authorized Masses” (lest we forget that it is a permission and not a right), locations, calendars, and pastoral provisions.
According to the announcement, he is also responsible for ensuring that celebrations are permitted under universal Church law and the directives of the Holy See. Of course, we have to check in with the usurpers in Rome and lick their boots in thanksgiving for these crumbs.
The bishop also named priests to oversee the traditional Mass in three regions of the statewide diocese, which I am not even going to go into here. Even though this will mean a significant increase in availability of the TLM, it hardly matters.
Sadly, people just don’t get it.
Let me ask the good Bishop Menjívar a few questions, which will explain why I take this unpopular position.
Bishop Menjívar, are you also going to instruct all priests in your diocese that they are no longer allowed to bless sodomite couples, that they must start preaching against LGBTQ ideology, refuse Communion to those in “irregular relationships,” and actively call those caught in these sins to repentance and conversion?
Bishop Menjívar, are you going to make sure, by any means necessary, that you warn your flock, entrusted to you by the Good Shepherd, that ecumenism, religious liberty, and religious indifferentism, as promoted by the Vatican, are anti-Catholic, heretical, and endangering souls? While on the subject, will you make sure to publicly, like a real Catholic bishop, denounce Nostra Aetate?
Bishop Menjívar, will you admit that the Novus Ordo Missae is harmful to souls and demonstrably leads to the loss of the Catholic faith, and ban it in your diocese?
Bishop Menjívar, will you ensure that all priests, deacons, and others in catechetical roles stop using the deplorable, error-riddled Catechism of the Catholic Church (1992), and instruct them to use older catechisms, such as the Baltimore Catechism, as their guide?
Bishop Menjívar, will you publicly, and with courage, denounce Prevost, Bergoglio, and the rest of the postconciliar false popes as just that, even if it means that you might be “excommunicated”? After all, a good shepherd should warn his flock about the wolves that have entered the fold, shouldn’t he?
Bishop Menjívar, will you publicly denounce and distance yourself and your diocese from Synodality, and call it what it is: a grave attack on the ecclesiology and authority of the Catholic Church?
Bishop Menjívar, will you set the example and reject the eco-paganism, idolatry, and Pachamama-worship of the men masquerading as the Catholic hierarchy, especially their so-called “pope”?
Finally, Bishop Menjívar, will you take a brave stand and warn the souls in your care that the Synodal Church is not the Catholic Church, but the precursor to the coming of the Antichrist?
I guess not.
See, any attempt to restore access to the TLM means less than nothing if it is done within the framework of an apostate church. The TLM is a mirror of the doctrines of the Catholic Church. Not of the Synodal Church.
Let me ask you this. Would you attend a more accessible TLM in your local Episcopal Church or at Pastor Bob’s First Alien Invasion Baptist Church down the street? No, you wouldn’t. And neither should you do so at a Synodal “church”.
To give the laity access to the TLM while still legitimizing the Synodal Harlot is to deceive and confuse them in the worst way possible.
We do not want bishops who ask the perpetrators of the destruction for permission to be Catholic. Neither is the TLM merely our preference. It is part of our Catholic Faith.
Therefore, Bishop Menjívar, we have no choice but to reject your empty gesture of “unity,” because we want no unity with the False Synodal Church.

I heard on Anthony Stine's podcast that the locations where the bishop expanded TLM access are near SSPX chapels. This seems to be the strategy to undermine the the SSPX.
Great article, thank you. I cannot even enter a novus ordo building as I believe it is a sacrilege to do so and an offense to God. Lest we forget, what they call the TLM is nothing more than a bogus ordo abomination in Latin, not the true Roman Rite of the Mass.
