If the Synodal Church Didn’t Have Double Standards, It Would Have No Standards at All

A random check-in across the vast barren desert of synodality reveals the only things that grow there are stubborn, God-offending heresies, heterodoxy, and double standards.

It is with the usual wry amusement that I take note of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference’s (SACBC) announcement of the looming Laity Day.

Surely this comes hot on the heels of the local parish’s Carnival Day, Youth Skills Day, Donate Blood Day, Two Grandpa’s Day and Guess the Sex of the Tranny Day. Anything, as long as it is not Let’s Be More Catholic Day.

You, of course, have a bigger chance of being bitten by a dinosaur than finding a Catholic in said Bishops’ Conference who did not let the opportunity pass to remind the followers of their anti-religion that, “Under the theme, ‘Called to Be One Body: Walking Together in Faith and Mission,’ the celebration reflects the Church’s synodal journey.”

Congrats, SACBC. You got three matches in Synodal Bingo: “walking together,” “synodal,” and “journey”!

Scanning the SACBC’s web page, you will note that it has the Catholic pedigree and substance of a wheelbarrow. In other words, none.

This is not surprising, as a random check-in across the vast barren desert of synodality reveals the only things that grow there are stubborn, God-offending heresies, heterodoxy, and double standards.

Probably best to start with the High Priest of Hypocrisy himself: Pope Bob Prevost. Yesterday (July 22), it was reported by LifeSiteNews and other media outlets that China “consecrated a bishop of Inner Mongolia with the approval of Pope Leo XIV under the controversial Vatican-China deal. Joseph Chang Yanfeng was consecrated in a ceremony presided over by Bishop Meng Qinglu, a vice-chairman of the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association (CCPA), a pro-Chinese Communist Party group that oversees the state-controlled ‘Catholic’ church in China.”

Guess the Usurper from Chicago is down with a fake church that swears fealty to atheist communism, which has been denounced by the Catholic Church, hence his “approval.”

What Bob Pope is less “down with” is any soul dumb enough to want to consecrate bishops to preserve the Catholic Faith that was handed down for 2,000 years. Now there is a damnable, excommunicable act of schism that makes him spring right into self-righteous action!

Pope Blind Eye is also yet to really take action against that orthodox bunch over in the German Synodal Way, beyond limp little warnings, of course.

Just a few days ago, Infocatólica reported that “the German Diocese of Hildesheim has announced a new step in its pastoral reorganization and, for the first time, two women will jointly lead the deanship (grouping of parishes) of Bremen-North. This group of parishes, which was created as a result of the lack of priests, is composed of three Catholic parishes… Until now, the deanship was led by Fr. Holger Baumgard, but the priest’s retirement has forced the diocese to take action.”

Clearly another synodal success story, as not even one male priest could be found to take Baumgard’s position. But hey, as long as you are in communion with this poop show, then you are an authentic Catholic.

While on the subject of Germany, as Radical Fidelity has pointed out before, revolutions grow in radical intensity by testing how far they can push the limits. The Germans should not be seen as the little synodal black sheep who are “a little out of line,” but rather as the bold innovators of exactly what synodality can achieve. That which Leo and his heretic henchmen meekly dismiss today becomes the standard tomorrow. So take note of the following report in Infovaticana:

“Unlike some bishops who, after the excommunication of the Priestly Society of St. Pius X, have shown interest in welcoming faithful of the order [sic] into their dioceses—such as Oslo—and expanding the presence of the traditional Mass, several German dioceses have made it clear that they have no intention of making the restrictions on the traditional Mass imposed by the motu proprio Traditionis Custodes more flexible. Despite requests made by prominent cardinals and bishops to recover the spirit of Summorum Pontificum, the dioceses consulted by CNA Deutsch are committed to maintaining the current policy without change.”

To those who think they can be Traditional Catholics within the bosom of the spiritual synodal harlot, I’ve got news for you. There is no springtime coming for the TLM. It is only going to get worse. Diocesan trads, FSSP, and ICKSP faithful, remember this warning.

Let’s do one last entry in this roundup of This Is Your New Catholic Church. Tell me you are not a pope but a friend of the world without telling me you are not a pope but a friend of the world.

Bob Prevost did just that when he tipped his hat to the other Bob in a new anthology published on Tuesday. Leo returned once again to one of his favorite obsessions (besides “human dignity” and “the poor”) in this first anthology dedicated to peace.

According to Infovaticana, it is “a volume that brings together several of his interventions since the beginning of the pontificate and incorporates an unpublished text in which the Pope quotes the American singer-songwriter and poet Bob Dylan to denounce the new arms race, which ‘today scares and terrorizes.’”

“As the singer-songwriter and poet Bob Dylan wrote, addressing the atomic bomb in a figurative sense, in one of his poems: ‘I hate you because man has created you, and man possesses and manages you,’” Prevost writes.

Yes, folks, while half of us are branded crazy sedevacantists and the other half are excommunicated for wanting to be, shock and horror, Catholics, this is just some of the choice antics the Synodal Aberration is getting up to.
