If by now you are still unaware of the synodal horror show—and of its adherents’ confusion in thinking it constitutes Catholicism—you are either in a coma or among the brainwashed followers of the new religion.
But for the sake of the kids in the back who fell asleep, drooling on themselves while salvation history nears its end, I want to be charitable and hopefully wake up one or two more with the following gems reported in the past 24 hours.
According to InfoVaticana, “This Monday, November 17, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, president of the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI), opened the General Assembly of bishops in Assisi with a speech in which he affirmed that the end of Christian civilization should not be understood as a defeat, but as a kairos, an opportune time willed by God for the Church to ‘return to the essentials’ and recover ‘the freedom of the beginnings.’”
According to Zuppi, secularization does not signify the decline of the Gospel but the end of an “order of power and culture.” In his view, the contemporary Christian is no longer “custodian of a Christian world,” but “pilgrim of a hope” that advances even in a de-Christianized social context.”
I will give you a moment to go reread that. Yes, the “Cardinal” is giddy over the end of Christian civilization—and he wants you to be in a celebratory mood too!
This is, of course, anti-Christian, anti-Catholic, modernist horse manure of the finest vintage.
Zuppi’s assertion that the “end of Christian civilization” is not a defeat but a kairos—a providentially willed opportunity—reflects a mindset increasingly common among ecclesial subverters who have not only grown accustomed to the eclipse of Catholic culture but have actively promoted it. His interpretation is a distortion of the Church’s mission. Christian civilization was not an accidental byproduct of faith, nor a mere “order of power and culture,” but the organic flowering of the Gospel lived fully in society. Its decline, therefore, cannot be serenely reinterpreted as a divine invitation to shed supposed “inessentials.” It is, rather, the predictable consequence of the Church’s retreat from her perennial teachings and her failure to evangelize with clarity.
To describe secularization as something other than what it is—the decline of the Gospel—is to ignore the central truth that Christ commands His Church to preach, convert, and sanctify nations. When those nations abandon the Faith, it is evidence of the modernist and synodal disaster they have forced upon Christ’s Church.
It is a curious theology that treats centuries of Christendom—with their saints, martyrs, universities, liturgies, and social charters rooted in natural and divine law—as though these were hindrances to “freedom,” rather than the very cultural embodiment of the Gospel’s triumph in history.
The romanticizing of the Christian as a mere “pilgrim of hope” in a de-Christianized world once again reduces the Church’s mission—to save souls—to sentiment. The early Christians were pilgrims because they were building a civilization yet to be born. Today’s Catholics are pilgrims because that same civilization is being dismantled. The two situations are not analogous. The first was a journey toward the Kingship of Christ; the second is a wandering precipitated by abandoning it.
The “freedom of the beginnings” does not mean discarding the heritage bequeathed by those beginnings. It means fidelity to the apostolic Faith, the liturgical tradition, and the moral law—precisely the foundations upon which Christian civilization rested. To welcome the loss of these fruits as a providential cleansing is to mistake decline and dereliction for divine will.
But Zuppi, and his co-conspirators against Christ, see it differently. And if you have any doubts, let’s move on to another enemy of Catholicism who makes no secret of what the new religion is all about.
According to the anti-Catholic propaganda outlet Religión Digital, Cardinal Pedro Barreto, president of the Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA), speaking from Belém, Brazil, where COP 30 is taking place, said: “COP30 must resolutely confront climate change, and the Church must be a socio-environmental prophet.”
Yes, fellow shepherdless sheep, this “fine” cleric spelled it out. The Church should not call the world to repentance—it should be a socio-environmental prophet. In other words: let’s save the planet while your soul goes to hell.
Barreto’s insistence that the Church must become a “socio-environmental prophecy from an evangelizing perspective” reflects a troubling inversion of priorities that has become increasingly common in what sadly passes for “ecclesial discourse”. Mushy garbage.
While care for creation is a legitimate dimension of Catholic social teaching, elevating ecological activism to the level of prophecy subordinates the supernatural mission of the Church to temporal agendas—especially when aligned with global political events such as COP 30.
Prophecy is not a poetic metaphor for institutional advocacy. Prophecy is the proclamation of divine truth, especially truth that calls individuals and nations to repentance, conversion, and obedience to the laws of God. When prophecy is reinterpreted as environmental messaging, its spiritual edge is dulled, and the Church’s unique voice becomes indistinguishable from that of secular NGOs. The Gospel does not exist to endorse climate policy but to save souls and sanctify nations. I don’t know how many times I must say this.
Framing the Church’s identity primarily in terms of socio-environmental activism reduces her mission to mere humanitarianism. Christ did not found His Church to be a global advisory council on ecological stewardship. He founded her to preach the Faith, administer the sacraments, and uphold the Kingship of Christ over individuals and societies.
When bishops speak more fluently about carbon emissions than about sin, grace, and salvation, it is not by mistake or ignorance but because they are well-versed in the tenets of their new false religion and its “church,” the Synodal Church.
These men, role-playing Catholic prelates and clergy, are no longer making any secret of it. Christ and our eternal destination no longer feature in their teachings because I strongly believe they no longer hold any faith in such matters.
Christ is merely a convenient prop to support their false religion when it is useful, and their “heaven” is a Masonic paradise they are hell-bent on building on earth—on the pillars of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
Make no mistake. Christ and the Catholic Church are not only absent from their paradise, but are the very enemies they seek to destroy.

The time of PRAY PAY & OBEY is over. It has become PRAY PRAY and then PRAY some more (says Our Lady of Fatima). Since they have abandoned Christ, we abandon them while remaining in Christ. We remain within the Mystical Body of Christ, but not under those Judases.
For those faithless prelates who apparently welcome the loss of faith…. I’m sure Protestant evangelicals and Muslims will only be too eager to fill the void left by a retreating Roman Catholic Church.
Lord have mercy.
