Nuncio tells U.S. Bishops to Choose Between the “Path of Francis” and the Path of Christ
Shall I navigate by the “map” of Vatican II, or work out my salvation with fear and trembling by the compass of the Gospel?
All I can say is: “God have mercy on us.”
I find myself agreeing more and more with Bishop Richard Williamson, who often proclaimed that the only remedy for the state of the Church and the world is the Great Chastisement.
The Second Vatican Council was the founding of a new religion — one that, sixty years later, we now know as the Synodal Church. The crowning glory of the modernist usurpers and impostors. And no one did more to put the final touches on this monstrosity than Jorge Bergoglio (stage name Francis) — and now his successor, Robert Prevost.
Yesterday, the death march continued.
Once again, from the gilded halls of episcopal bureaucracy came the familiar refrain:
“Follow the path of Francis. Return to the Council. Advance the synodal way.”
Such was the mantra preached by Cardinal Christophe Pierre, the papal nuncio to the United States, during the bishops’ assembly in Baltimore. His words — drenched in the language of “vision,” “journey,” and “synodal communion” — could have been lifted straight from any Vatican press release of the past decade.
But beneath the diplomatic courtesies and polished rhetoric, behind the pious grins and secret winks, lies a deeper sickness namely the substitution of Christ’s mandate with the ideological program of modernism known as synodality.
Pierre exhorted the bishops to remain faithful to “Francis’ pastoral path” and to the “vision of the Second Vatican Council.” He declared that the Council’s documents are “the map for the journey ahead,” and warned that any divergence from Francis’ “pastoral vision” is a deviation from the true way forward.
Ominously he also quoted Francis:
“It is not yet time for a Vatican III, because we have not yet finished implementing Vatican II.”
What arrogance — and what amnesia.
The Church did not begin in 1962. Her map is not the Council, and her path is not Francis. The true map was drawn by the pierced hand of the Redeemer. The true path was traced in His Blood upon the Via Dolorosa. These enemies of the Catholic Faith want to enthrone man-made councils and personalities above the living Christ — the same Christ who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
This modern obsession with Vatican II as “the map of the future” has become a new form of idolatry — a conciliar cult. The modernists speak as though divine revelation was first uttered through the microphones of the 1960s. As though the Holy Ghost had slept for nineteen centuries and awoke only to produce Gaudium et Spes and Nostra Aetate.
But the Church is not the love child of the sixties; she is the Bride of Christ, born from His wounded side on Calvary. Her doctrine, her worship, her reverence — these are not the inventions of men, but the fruit of the Holy Ghost through the Apostles, Fathers, and Saints.
Pierre warned against “polarization,” urging bishops to “embrace the synodal style of communion.”
In other words, he was encouraging them to silence the faithful who resist the program, suppress the traditional liturgy that offends the “spirit of the age”, and drown the ancient faith in endless dialogue. Synodality — that shapeless word now used to justify every deviation — is wielded like a hammer to crush the remnants of orthodoxy.
And then, with astonishing blindness, the nuncio praised Francis and even his successor, calling the new pontificate a “maturation” of Francis’ legacy — a “fidelity to the spirit of the Council.” Thus the circle completes itself. The Council begets Francis, and Francis begets a “Church of the Council.” The Gospel is replaced by “the spirit of the age,” and the deposit of faith by the endless process of “discernment.”
This is what happens when the Church denies her own history and rebels against its Founder. This is what happens when she trades the faith of the Apostles for the fashions of theologians. The modernists have no continuity. They have only destruction and reconstruction — a new “church” for a new world, one that worships another “Christ” and has as its goal the total annihilation of 2,000 years of Catholicism. Full stop.
And so we must ask:
Which path shall I follow? The path of Francis, or the path of Christ? Shall I navigate by the “map” of Vatican II, or work out my salvation with fear and trembling by the compass of the Gospel?
Shall I kneel before the diabolical altar of dialogue, or before the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world?
The path forged by the Second Vatican Council, the conciliar popes, and Francis and his successor is as opposed to Christ and the Catholic Faith as darkness is to light. Two completely opposing things cannot both be the same thing. The modernist, synodal “church” teaches and promotes the opposite of the Church Christ founded and can therefore not be the Catholic Church.
As I have repeatedly said: you must choose one or the other. And the prelates and clergy of the world must choose the one or the other
Cardinal Pierre’s speech was not a call to unity, but a call to further suicidal conformity with a revolution that is reaching its crescendo — one that has already replaced our faith, emptied our sanctuaries, and silenced reverence.
The bishops of America — and everywhere else — would do well to remember that their mandate is not to follow “the path of Francis,” but the path of the Crucified. Not to guard “the vision of the Council,” but the deposit of faith handed down from the Apostles.
For the Bride of Christ does not march to the drums of the age.
She kneels before her Lord in fear and trembling — and follows only Him.
Following “the path of Francis” and the “roadmap of Vatican II” leads to one place, and one place only:
Hell and damnation.
Our Lady, Co-redemptrix, pray for us…
Our Lady, Mediatrix of all Graces, pray for us…
Viva Christo Rey!

I would not be surprised if we learned that the FBI memo calling Traditional Catholics in the US domestic terrorists and infiltrating their celebrations of the Holy Sacrifice were instigated by modernists in the hierarchy.
Thank you for sounding the alarm though I’m afraid it falls on too many deaf ears. I can’t talk to anyone about this without getting shut down. Pray pray pray then pray some more. Stay close to our Lord.
