Faithful, traditional, and orthodox Catholics were left angered and sad by Pope Francis's recent comments expounding erroneous, condemned, and heretical sentiments of religious indifferentism and pluralism. (Radical Fidelity commented on these statements in Pope Francis’ Singapore statements and the verse that does not exist and Why I am not convinced by my mentor’s defense of Pope Francis’ statements)
Needless to say, the Faithful’s hope tanks were running on empty after this sordid affair. That was until Bishop Athanasius Schneider, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana, Kazakhstan, threw the battered and bruised a lifeline.
Bp. Schneider, who seemingly is one of the few of the clergy who continues to fearlessly defend the Faith, responded publicly to the Pontiff’s outrageous statements, at the recently concluded Catholic Identity Conference 2024 in Pittsburg, U.S.
The highlight of Bp. Schneider’s address to conference attendees on 29 September, was the highly Catholic and orthodox profession of faith he issued. This profession of faith clearly spoke to the hearts and minds of Catholics, as it not only went viral but was also translated into 11 languages. Contrary to what the heterodox clowns in the Vatican and at the Synod for Sodomy might think, the faithful are hungry for the Truth as it has been taught by the Church since its founding in Matthew 16.
We publish Bp. Schneider’s profession in full and ask that you share it far and wide:
Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ and His Church as the Only Path to God and to Eternal Salvation
We unshakably believe and profess what the ordinary and universal Magisterium of the Church has continuously and infallibly taught since the time of the Apostles, namely,
That faith in Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God and only Savior of mankind, is the only religion willed by God.
After the institution of the new and everlasting Covenant in Jesus Christ, no one may be saved by adherence to the teachings and practices of non-Christian religions. Because “the prayer, which is directed to God, must be linked with Christ, the Lord of all people, the one Mediator (1 Tm 2:5; Heb 8:6; 9:15; 12:24) through whom alone we have access to God (Rom 5:2; Eph 2:18; 3:12).” (General Instruction of the Liturgy of the Hours, n. 6)
We firmly believe that “there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12), except the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead (cf. Acts 4:10).
We believe that it is “contrary to the Catholic faith to consider the Church as one way of salvation alongside those constituted by the other religions, seen as complementary to the Church or substantially equivalent to her, even if these are said to be converging with the Church toward the eschatological kingdom of God” (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Declaration Dominus Iesus, 21).
We furthermore hold that Divine Revelation, faithfully transmitted by the Church’s perennial Magisterium, forbids affirming
That all religions are paths to God,
That the diversity of religious identities is a gift of God, and
That the diversity of religions is an expression of the wise will of God the Creator.
We hold, therefore, that Christians are not simply “traveling companions” along with adherents of false religions — which God forbids.
We fervently implore the help of Divine grace for all those churchmen today who, by their words and deeds, contradict the Divinely revealed truth about Jesus Christ and His Church as the only path by which men can reach God and eternal salvation. With the help of divine grace, may these churchmen be enabled to offer a public retraction, required for the good of their own soul and the souls of others. For “not accepting Christ is the greatest danger for the world!” (St. Hilary of Poitiers, In Matth. 18).
By the prayers, tears and sacrifices of all the true sons and daughters of the Church, and especially of the “little ones” in the Church, may the Shepherds of the Church, and first and foremost Pope Francis, receive the grace to emulate the Apostles, countless Martyrs, numerous Holy Roman Pontiffs and a multitude of Saints, especially St. Francis of Assisi, who “was a Catholic and an entirely apostolic man, who set about personally and commanded his disciples to occupy themselves before everything else with the conversion of the heathen to the Faith and Law of Christ.” (Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Rite Expiatis, 37)
We believe and, with God’s grace, are ready to give our lives for this Divine truth pronounced by Jesus Christ: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
With this, Bp. Schneider once again proved that orthodoxy is what binds us together in the Body of Christ, across space and time.
God bless Bp. Schneider! May the Almighty Triune God raise more men like him in Mother Church!
With the same fervour that we support and adhere to the above profession of faith by the good Bishop, Radical Fidelity wants to reject and denounce the satanic shenanigans that took place on the eve of the spiritually destructive Synod on Synodality 2024 which commenced on 2 October.
Pope Francis joined members of the Synod at a “penitential service” where Cardinals asked for forgiveness for a list of sins that Pope Francis, erm, well… invented.
A few of these are reasonably legitimate but most are at best mushy, weird, and vague, and at worst, dangerous thinly veiled tools to spiritually gaslight Catholics who want to stay faithful to Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. The seven sins are:
· Sin against peace
· Sin against creation, against Indigenous populations, against migrants
· Sin of abuse
· Sin against women, family, youth
· Sin of using doctrine as stones to be hurled
· Sin against poverty
· Sin against synodality/ lack of listening, communion, and participation of all
Two of these “sins” are especially irksome and should be rejected with all the might the Holy Spirit can endow one with.
The first is “The sin of using doctrine as stones to be hurled”, which should be translated as “it is wrong to adhere to the timeless Truth of the Catholic Faith as it has been taught by Christ and handed down through Apostolic succession for the past two thousand years. Catholics should all bow down to the gods of relativity and wokeness and accept the new way where nothing is sin. Each one should only follow his own truth and reject Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium”.
Sorry, but we refuse to dance.
The second “sin” that deserves to be explicitly condemned is the last one on the list, namely the “sin against synodality/ lack of listening, communion, and participation of all”. This is effectively saying that should you see through the little anti-Catholic, anti-Christ charade that is being played at the Synod and reject its conclusions that are clearly not from the Holy Spirit, then you are sinning. This is such a cheap and transparent shot that it borders on laughable and constitutes an insult.
For more extensive coverage of the lunacy that went down at the ceremony, we would encourage our readers to read Lifesite News’ Senior Vatican Correspondent, Michael Haynes’ piece on the event.
I met the good bishop about a year ago. He is a blessing in these times.
