The Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) episcopal consecrations and the consequent “excommunication” by the Synodal Church of the entire Society, together with the faithful who “formally adhere” to it, have become the gift that keeps on giving.
But let me clarify before the SSPX faithful put me up against a wall to be executed rather than merely excommunicated.
I praise God for the many faithful, sincere Catholic souls who have been awakened by this monumental surrealistic farce. Of course, there are still millions who will persist in believing and defending the Synodal Church as though it is the Catholic Church. But every single soul who wakes up and is rescued from that satanic revolutionary entity masquerading as Christ’s One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church surely causes great celebration in Heaven.
Some bad news, however, for those who suddenly find themselves awakened to the crimes against Christ perpetrated by the Modernist Synodal heretics. As I always point out, with the privilege of receiving the gift of truth comes certain consequences, especially in Catholicism, and in this essay, I want to point out two of those consequences. (Hence why so many people gaslight themselves into believing the Synodal Abomination is the Catholic Church: because it is easy to be a synodalist. There is no sin, and there are no consequences.)
As everyone should know by now, the excommunications are not about liturgy, disobedience, or even the episcopal consecrations. They are about removing those who refuse to adhere to the anti-Catholic, antichrist Second Vatican Council and the doctrines embodied in its documents.
The excommunications are therefore a dream come true for the heretics in Rome, because they could finally rid themselves of those who were still putting up even a mild fight against the false religion founded at Vatican II.
The SSPX could have remained little dancing monkeys in the Conciliar Circus, complete with the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM), traditionalist cosplay, and even their own bishops, if only they had bent the knee to the golden calf that is Vatican II. But, praise be to God, they didn’t and neither did the SSPX faithful.
(I am not going to revisit the SSPX’s problematic position of simultaneously recognizing Prevost the Heretic as the legitimate pope and the Synodal Church as the true Catholic Church while attempting to resist both. I believe I have addressed that issue on numerous occasions, and it is now something the reader must grapple with for himself.)
But on to the purpose of this short essay.
For as long as I have been Catholic, I have heard the argument—and I admit that I initially used it myself before I knew any better—that the diabolical council was “only a pastoral council and therefore not binding.” After all, there was proof of this in statements made by Paul VI on more than one occasion where he himself called it a “pastoral” council.
Understandably, for many Catholics struggling with the immense cognitive dissonance of trying to reconcile the postconciliar religion with actual Catholicism, this argument brought some relief.
But even before the recent developments with the SSPX, this was never a viable argument.
Many Catholics today have fallen into the mistaken belief that they are free to ignore any papal teaching that is not proclaimed ex cathedra, or to dismiss an entire council simply because it described itself as “pastoral.” This fundamentally misunderstands Church authority. (Keep in mind that what I am about to explain pertains to actual Catholic teaching and the actual Catholic Church—not the hybrid infestation that has been spawning within the structures of the Catholic Church since 1965. Therefore, I am not calling you to obey the heretical Synodal religion and its false popes. No! The opposite. I am imploring you to reject them.)
Our Lord did not establish a Church in which the faithful could decide for themselves which teachings deserve obedience. He established a living Magisterium to teach, govern, and sanctify His people.
The Church exercises this authority not only through extraordinary acts, such as solemn definitions by a pope speaking ex cathedra or the dogmatic decrees of ecumenical councils, but also through her ordinary Magisterium. Catholics owe religious submission of intellect and will to the authentic teaching of the Church, even when that teaching is not presented as an infallible definition.
This does not mean that every statement made by a pope carries the same weight. The Church herself recognizes different levels of authority and different degrees of assent. Dogmas demand the assent of divine and Catholic faith, while other authentic teachings require religious submission according to their authority.
But nowhere does the Church teach that Catholics are free to reject any teaching simply because it is not ex cathedra. That idea is a modern invention, not the perennial teaching of Catholicism.
Likewise, describing a council as “pastoral” does not mean it has no authority. A pastoral council may choose not to define new dogmas or issue new anathemas, yet it still exercises the Church’s teaching office. The faithful cannot simply wave away its teachings because it is pastoral.
But again, the above only applies to Catholics, the Catholic Church, Catholic popes, and Catholic councils, NOT the false Synodal Religion.
If there was still any doubt though as to whether one must assent to the Second Vatican Council, or if anyone still believed he could claim to be Catholic within the Synodal Church while conveniently dismissing the council as “pastoral and therefore not binding,” your bubble is about to be burst again.
The SSPX excommunications have finally destroyed any possibility of ever again using this weak argument. The enemies of Christ and Catholicism in Rome have made it abundantly clear that Vatican II is not merely a “pastoral” council, but that adherence to it is the admission fee required to belong to the new Synodal religion—and you pay with your soul.
This became evident in the process of reconciliation laid out immediately after the excommunications were decreed. That process made it unmistakably clear that adherence to Vatican II was the litmus test for both clergy and laity seeking readmission into communion with the apostate Synodal rebellion masquerading as Catholicism.
Now that this has been clarified, it is a good time to return once again to simple logic.
If the Catholic Church, Catholic councils, and legitimate Catholic popes cannot promulgate or advance teachings that are harmful to souls, and you have rightly concluded that Vatican II is not Catholic and opposes Catholic teaching, then you must also draw the far more important conclusion that the postconciliar Synodal Church, its popes, and the dreaded council are not Catholic and should be fled from.
Furthermore, if the heresiarchy in the Vatican demands that you adhere to the teachings of Vatican II—which are anti-Catholic—then they are demanding that you apostatize. No Catholic may kneel before the idol of the Second Vatican Council which is the doctrinal alpha and omega of this false religion.
Finally, I want to point out one more implication as we stand beside the grave of the “pastoral council” argument. For this, I will most likely lose readers once again. But while we are on this roll of following the truth in the wake of the SSPX debacle, I am willing to pay that price for the sake of truth.
Just as you can no longer call the postconciliar religion Catholicism, or the Second Vatican Council merely “pastoral,” you can no longer call those who adhere to it your “brothers and sisters in the faith.”
To belong to the Synodal religion—its “church”—is to adhere fully to the satanic garbage that flowed out of the council. It is not Catholicism. It is another religion, another faith. According to St. Paul, it is a “different gospel” and is therefore anathema—accursed. Consequently, those who profess this religion are not your brothers and sisters in the Faith.
Of course, I am not saying you should hate them or write them off. Quite the contrary. This should make you realize that there is a vast field ready for evangelization: more than a billion confused and deceived synodalists who have been duped into believing they are Catholic for more than sixty years, need to be guided back to the Catholic Church and its faith.
These people are as spiritually lost as Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Protestants, New Agers, and Buddhists. They need our prayers, and they need the truth.
More than anything, they need to be converted to the Catholic Faith and one of the biggest favors you can do for them is to stop legitimizing the synodal religion, its “popes”, or the Synodal Church’s only dogmatic council: Vatican II.
Call out the Second Vatican Council for what it is: an obscene perversion of Catholicism that is an edifice of sin and rebellion against the Triune God.

As we know, most people who tick the "Catholic" box on census forms deny at least one dogma, be it the Real Presence or the Church's teaching on contraception. I would be willing to bet that—tragically—almost everyone who regularly attends the Novus Ordo possesses shades of ecumenism, religious liberty, the false ecclesiology of "partial" and "full" communion with the Catholic Church, and other conciliar errors in their minds, even if they mean well.
Those who completely reject these errors tend to leave the Novus Ordo entirely, or if they happen to be members of the clergy, are kept under close watch and put under extreme pressure to conform. This is because the Novus Ordo was designed specifically to inculcate these errors: they are simply the pillars of a new one-world, dogma-less religion.
Whether such errors rise to the level of culpable ignorance or heresy in a particular person's mind is known only to God alone. But at the very least, any traditionalist must understand that the "conservative Novus Ordo" paradigm—exemplified by the words, actions and appearances of men like Joseph Ratzinger—is nothing but a whitewashed sepulcher.
"heresiarchy" that's a good one!
