What this cardinal means when he says ignore the doctrine. He means do not focus on it. Focus on Jesus. REVIVAL or Renewal of the church is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Individual Catholics have the release of the Holy Spirit (who lives in you since Baptism) after the Life in the Spirit Seminars or Alpha Course. They develop a love for the WORD which is Jesus. They speak to him and he speaks back in the WORD. As they journey forward their mind is renewed through reading the WORD. They are lead to inner healing, healing and deliverance which includes breaking curses and spell on oneself. None of us know where we are coming from before 16th century?! Maybe worship of idols like in Abraham's family. This leads to sanctification, restoration, transformation of the inner man body, soul (mind, will and emotions) and spirit. I have been through this and I know the doctrine of the Catholic church and hold an R.E. Catholic Certificate. The Bible in one hand and the Catholic Catechism in the other. The Catholic Church has a very sound doctrine. However, we must work in unity with other Christians. As the healing and deliverance ministry in the U.K. were unable to minister to me deliverance as I come from a backgrouind before the 16th century of Hinduism and Buddhism as revelaed by the Holy Spirit I was advised to seek help from the black Pentecostal church who have a special anointing of the Holy Spirit to deal with ancestry in eastern religions, occult, New Age, Voodoo, Witchcraft, Wicca etc

I wish it were just their "inadequacies" that were the problem. Instead, it is their intentional heretical words and deeds that are at issue.
