Having deployed to multiple Islamic countries and noting the great violence of Muslims against Christians, including destruction Marian symbols (icons and statues), I think Muslim veneration for Mary is largely overstated. Foremost it is because she is heavily associated with Christianity. Secondly, most Muslims know their faith about as well as most Catholics know their own faith. It is important to remember that Mohammed fabricated his religion by borrowing elements from Catholicism and Judaism to make Islam more palatable or plausible for conversion. Of course that didn't work out too well, so he had to rely on the sword to convert the masses.
A very readable work on this subject, "Christians, Muslims and Mary - A History" (Rita George-Tvrtković, Paulist Press, 2018🇺🇲) She does a fine job in gleaning quran for passages referencing our Lady and Queen, Mary, and then expounding upon aspects of where these elements are perceived as either bridge or barrier through time. She seems to hold to a fairly balanced historical hand on this topic. In some ways, the Islamic view is more compatible with Marian piety than the western Protestant understanding, while acknowledging that there are puritans in every crowd. Our Lady of Guadeloupe and our Lady of Victories are both mentioned ⚓ in the context of Lepanto I believe.
